Is 300 cd/m2 Bright enough?

I am looking at 4K monitors and most of the best IPS ones are 300 cd/m2 .  Does anyone have any experience with 1440p or 4K at this brightness.  

 

Is 300 cd/m2 enough to look nice and bright or is it a bit dull ?

 

 

( Some are 350 cd/m2 is this a big difference ? )
