Nvidia "Project Logan"

Nvidia recently showed "Project Logan" on SIGGRAPH event in California. This project is a High end mobile Graphics Processing Unit using 2-3 wolts and it is still able to power real-life-like graphics on "Ira" face app.

It will be able to support DirectX 11, OpenGL 4.4 and OpenGL ES 3.O.

i think its a good step into the right direction but i cant imagine it being as fast as they say it is...

I think it is fast, if the thing was false advertise no one would even use it.

it may be fast but nvidia is comparing it to normal desktop solutions so that seems a little bit unrealistic to me.

if you can build things that fast with that small of a footprint, why not build large things that are even more powerful. I understand technology is getting small, but just think of all the power you can utilize today if you still make some big things. so no, i dont think mobile gaming will take over, in fact this is probably a step towards a better future for desktops:)

(1) high frame rate (2) ultra graphics settings (3) cheap...>> choose only two<<...

 

if it's never been done then i'm probably tryna do it. (((((((Bass so low it HERTZ)))))))

it won't ... because there will always be more demanding software that will require better hardware than mobile devices at that time

so maybe its time to wait for nvidias next desktop line

It might be fast and all, but needs software tailored for it.

Something most mobile developers don't bother with, so real world everyday performance will take a hit, but I suppose it'll still be a good addition to the mobile world.
