Mobo Wont Post

I was hoping for some help from the LTT community on an issue I am having.

     System Specs:

  • Intel Desktop DZ68PL motherboard
  • Intel core i5 3330
  • 2GB ddr3 240 pin RAM (Known not to be defective)
  • Generic Video Card (Known not to be defective)

I am getting no video output from the graphics card. When I try to turn on the PC the mobo beeps 3 times max, though it seems dependant on how long I hold the power button down. As I am typing this it has started spinning the power supply fan for seemingly random amounts of time then shutting off with no interaction from me. Also about 3 minutes after that started it began beeping 3 times then pausing, then repeating. According to the little sheet that came with the motherboard it would seem to be a memory problem, though I've tried several different sticks of memory to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.

I had a similar problem with my computer, I realized one of the cpu socket pins on my mobo was bent. I carefully bent it back and it works beautifully now.

Well normally beeping means there is a memory problem. But that doesn't mean it must be the ram itself. It could be the mobo. When there is a problem with the cpu it normally doesn't beep.

I had the same problem a couple month ago because scratched a tiny power Lane of the mobo while inserting a graphics card
