A question of software

Was thinking of getting some system repair/optimization software.  Is System Mechanic by Iolo the best, or would you guys suggest a different software?

This is my signiture, fear it!

I'm not sure about System Mechanic but I use Advanced SystemCare by iobit, the creaters of Gamebooster, it works really well and it has a free version.

I just run CCleaner every so often. Seems to do the job.

That fixes registry errors, but I'm talking about fixing more than that and boosting ram, cpu and net speeds.

PC maintenance software doesn't actually boost ram, cpu or net speed it just makes them run more efficiently. The only way to boost cpu and ram speeds is to overclock.

Well the software company call it boosting, and even that would help.  I'm pretty sure I need that since I've been running with this machine since 2008 or so.

System Mechanic and Advanced SystemCare are both pretty shit and have placebo effects.  Just run CCleaner, tidy up your msconfig, uninstall any junk you don't need, and there you have it.
