MSI warranty help

Hi, I need some help with warranty information etc.

I was looking into buying a GPU from a 3rd party (just a person as opposed to a re-seller like Overclockers or Ebuyer). The GPU is new and unused, it has all the original stuff in the box and hasn't been registered on MSI's webite.

I just want to know if the card will be covered in a warranty from MSI still and how I would go about doing an RMA if the card dies. I could get all the original sale information from the person, but would I be able to carry out the process of sending it back to MSI or the original retailer myself, or would I have to get the person that I bought the card off to do it?

Sorry about repeating myself I just want to make it clear what I'm getting at.

Could use replies with links to reliable sources as I don't want to waste my money.

Thanks.

I'm not sure about msi, but other companies will honor the warranty without an invoice. But they go by when the graphics card was shipped from them to the retailer.
