Low VRAM usage

Go to solution Solved by PrinceRayman,

It's obviously just an inability to properly read the VRAM on the card.  Could have to do with the BIOS, or you could try a fresh reinstall of your monitoring programs.  A clean reinstall of the drivers may also help.

But as long as it performs where it should, it's not a big deal.

MSI Afterburner and GPU-Z had the same vram reading. The culprit was driver version 352.84 which was pushing my GPU up to 99% with a vram usage of not even exceeding 200MB. I rolled back to driver version 347.52. It may not be well optimized for all games but I have noticed a much better GPU utilization.

Thank you everyone  for all your help! ;)

I purchased GTX 960 4GB version recently and I wonder why all my games have very low memory usage. I've tried Mortal Kombat X, Witcher 3, Garden Warfare, The Vanishing Of Ethan Carter, Far Cry 4, Watch Dogs, Tomb Raider, COD Advanced Warfare and all of them have never reached 200MB of VRAM. The most I have observed was 179MB.

I've played around the settings swtiching from low to ultra and enabling AA and all the in-game eye candy video options and nothing seemed to work except for getting a really really poor fps and my GPU is always at 99% usage. My CPU reaches more than 50% of usage and sometimes up to 100%. I'm clueless if it is a problem with my GPU, CPU, Nvidia Driver, RAM, Windows or something e

Can somebody educate me please?

D-d-dual monitor with GTX 960? WITH AN APU? 960 AND AN APU? AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!! You're using the APU's  GPU to run the game.
