Crossfire - What do these numbers mean!?

xBlizzDevious

Hello!

I've used three-way Crossfire for a few years now and I'm still completely unaware as to what the numbers in the selection box for Crossfire mean.

Look at the attached image to see which numbers I mean.

Anyone know what the hell they're for? It's been bugging me for years!

I think the numbers indicate PCI-E bandwith link speed. But a quick google search shows me that the numbers listed dont conform to expected/actual performance people get. So I would just ignore them.

Intel I9-9900k (5Ghz) Asus ROG Maximus XI Formula | Corsair Vengeance 16GB DDR4-4133mhz | ASUS ROG Strix 2080Ti | EVGA Supernova G2 1050w 80+Gold | Samsung 950 Pro M.2 (512GB) + (1TB) | Full EK custom water loop |IN-WIN S-Frame (No. 263/500)

I'm not sure what they mean, but it doesn't mean bandwidth.

That's the only information I'd ever been able to find either. Which is why that kinda worried me - a "0" would indicate no bandwidth. Haha!

Anyone know what they actually mean?
