yeah, a bit more expensive, but worth it i guess

Do you know of they perform better than WD Blue drives?

If you need it for a NAS go with Drives that are ready to be on 24/7

Hi!

I have a NAS, i only use it for videos and data backup, and I wonder 2 things:

Where your I buy my drives (in Canada) for the best drives?

and

Should I go for standard HDD (im not running 24/7), green drives, or NAS drives?

Thanks!

True, even if mine is not currently running 24/7, I could on a NAS that draws less power eventually ^^

Hey there :)

If you doubt where to buy drives, you can always drop an e-mail or call the manufacturer's support and ask for advice. :)
Regarding the HDD choice, I would go with NAS/RAID class drives as this would be your safest option for secure and smooth performance with little chance for drive dropouts. WD Red drives are great for that. WD Blue are also good drives but are not designed for such usage. :)
