ocing Gtx 970 ftw

Go to solution Solved by pomaranc,

Do you have a friend using 970?

So he can tell me how much should i increase

For a start add 70Mhz and increase the voltage a bit, run stress test and if it crashes add a bit more until iti s stable.

Hello yall so I have a 970 ftw and wanted to overclock it. While other people take it to 1500mhz + i couldnt make it to 1400 even though thats what i want anyway. It even crashed when i increased only 50mhz for gpu clock and same for memory clock.

Am i doing something wrong. Can you help me with it or maybe fellow user can share there overclock configs so i can apply the same

1) There's the silicone lottery. Basically, you don't know how fortunate you're going to be with your chip.

2) Are you increasing the power limit?

Sig under construction.

Tried it was on 110. So if the lottery thing is correct it means i end up getting bad chip and now should i replace it?

How much i should increase

As little as you can for it to be stable.

I was able to achieve +80Mhz with 12mV but every chip is different.
