My Budget gaming PC

DikHud

Hi guys my name is Paolo. I'm from the Philippines.

I'm a student and I'm trying to buy my very own Gaming PC from my allowance

I wan't to share it to you so that you can probably help me on my build since my funds are very limited and hope that i can get the most out of my money. so without further ado.

Specs:

Processor : Intel Pentium G3258                                  $69

MOBO: Asus H81M-E socket 1150 PCIE DDR3           $64

Memory: Kingston 4GB DDR3 PC1333                        $33

GPU : Sapphire R7 260X 2GB 128bit PCIE DDR5        $100

Storage: WD Caviar HDD 1TB SATA Blue                    $59

PSU : Corsair VS45                                                      $35

Case: Tecware 502BR Omega Gaming PC                  $25

                                                                                     $385 / 17000PHP

Prices may vary since everything here is more expensive due to i have no idea what.

So for you guys wondering about my Case here's a link to it.

I don't really care what the case looks like but it's the cheapest one they got that has the PSU slot on the bottom of the case. (I just want it to be on the bottom i don't know why) http://www.easypc.com.ph/index.php/site/prod_info/f.31b91e3a8737fd8dd3d4b0c8c679049b

thanks guys i hope you can help me improve it. THANKS! MORE POWER LINUS!

EDIT: Stupid question if i overclock my processor am i gonna need a better cooler? or will the stock cooler for G3258 be enough?

and speaking bout parts. Parts in my country aren't really to come by, and if they are available here its either they are Super expensive or most of the times out of stock. so i chose this parts for their prices and most of them (i think) are available right now. LOL

I would HIGHLY recommend getting an i3 4150, for allot better performance in games.

I would disagree. The price to performance ratio for i3's aren't really good for budget gaming builds. Instead, I'd suggest OP save up for an i5 CPU as actual quad cores are far superior to dual cores.

@niofalpha

i was planning on overclocking it just a little bit. but i wasn't really planning on having it for a long period of time. maybe just a year until i can earn for a better processor. the i3 4150 here in my country costs $135 way too much for my budget anyways. but i'll still keep it in mind thanks.

Good to see another fellow Filipino on the forums. Welcome to LTT!

I suggest saving up for an i5, maybe like the i5 4460.

You can't overclock on the B81 Chipset beyond BCLK to my knowledge.

If you have a little bit more money you can get a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO (really cheap) and you can overclock much better.

Great cooler. I'd say you could overclock  to around 4.0-4.5 Ghz. It really just depends on how good your CPU is. All CPU's are different.

Yes. More than enough, even when you're overclocking. Just note that if you upgrade to an i5/i7 or a better graphics card, you might need to upgrade your PSU.

Also, you won't overclock as much because that motherboard doesn't support overclocking. If you are able to change the multiplier and voltage on that motherboard, you can overclock just a little bit. I still would recommend that cooler even if you can't overclock because the stock Intel fan is super loud.
