Define r5 fan controller

I read online that the define r5 fan controller can take up to 3 fans. If I use a Y splitter, could I add another one, or will that cause any problems?

It wont cause any problems but I dont think you will be able to run the fans to the max and just to make sure i would keep the fan speed's pretty smooth and nothing to fast as if the company says it can only take 3 fans there probably right so its better to be safe than sorry :)
