Is there anything higher than 144hz?

So I recently try league and i have the asus vg248qe and in leauge theres a bar indicating ur refresh rate. And 144hz only fill 1/3 of that bar. So im just wondering if theres anything higher than that?

Well... for marketing there is... but true refresh? Not really anything affordable by us plebeians.

theoretically i was thinking if we were able to use transparent displays layered on top of each other perfectly timed we could use 144hz transparent and layer them on top of each-other

That doesnt make any sense. Since they would still be 144fps layered on top of each other

one would refresh between the others refreshes
