Putting this here since I would be using one for arial photography and videography anyway.

I am wanting to get into Building and Flying quads (or Tricopters or whatever).

Is there anyone on here that has built and flown them? I know I could just go out and buy a prebuilt drone - But I am a tinkerer, and half the reason for this would be to build it myself and experiment. What I'm looking for, is any information on where to start/what to look for etc. I have priced out several builds in the past, and believe they were around ~$400, not including any FPV gear, does that sound okay for a starting point?

Yes I have built several on order and also for myself, well in mainly it all depends on your budged and as well it all depends what weight it must lift up and for how long you want it to be capable of to fly and does it needs to have a GPS controller or not.

I'll be building one in the coming months. I have everything planned out. It's going to be a light 250 size quad. I can mount a gopro to it but not much more. I priced out about $200 without any fpv or radio.

I'll put up a build log when I'm done. Just waiting on my taxes so should be within the next 3 weeks.
