Sony actually cancels release of The Interview following terror threat

Rohith_Kumar_Sp

i didnt know where to post it , but in light of the hacking that took place at sony and the threatening emails , sony actually cancels the release of the Interview

"It is official, we already learned earlier today that several big cinema chains would not be showing The Interview next week, the New York premier was canceled and now Sony is calling off the movie’s launch altogether following yesterday’s threats of violence, issued by the group behind the Sony hack.

This decision came after the majority of theater chains pulled out of showing the film on its 25th of December release. In a statement printed by Variety, Sony said: “In light of the decision by the majority of our exhibitors not to show the film The Interview, we have decided not to move forward with the planned December 25 theatrical release”."

KitGuru Says: Well there you have it, the hackers won and managed to force Sony in to pulling a movie release. This doesn’t necessarily mean that the film won’t ever come out but you won’t be seeing it next week. Do you guys think Sony made the wrong call by giving in to demands?

technically it was a threat of war, not terrorism. The FBI revealed it really was North Korea so not only did Sony probably decide release was a bad idea but the FBI probably advised or ordered them not to and I'm sure they gave Sony some sort of relief for the loss of profit or are allowing them to release at a later date.

I run my browser through NSA ports to make their illegal jobs easier. :P
If it's not broken, take it apart and fix it.
