RAID 0 or single HDD

Hello!

I receantly decided to buy a SSD, since SSD cost so much, I bought a Samsung 840 EVO 250 GB for the Operating System and other software's. So, every gamer knows that 250 GB is NOT enough for games.
So my question I have these Hard Drives -

1. A single ST1000DM003 basically 1000GB 64 MB 7200 RPM Sata 3
2. Three HITACHI HTS723216L9SA60, basically 160GB 16 MB cache 7200 RPM Drive Sata 1

I dont need bigger then 500 GB for games....
So running those 3 HDD in RAID 0 would be faster then option2.
But each HDD in option 2 is $90(total of $270) and option 1 only 49.99

So which is better?

Should I run crystal disk?

Hang on, are you saying that the 160GB hdd's are 90 bucks each? If that's true, what a ripoff... don't even think about it then.

And tbh for games, doesn't really matter. It's more important it's reliable and works good. Speed will help only improve loading times in games. I have all my games on an hdd, the faster loading is nice but tbh it's not that big of a deal.

I have the 3 HDD's found them in my hardware box.

I also have the 1 TB HDD,  and it loads game maps hecka slow, loading a Titanfall map means being 3 minutes in the game.

Just go with the 1TB hard drive. The technical performance increase is very slight in actual non-synthetic usage and it is just not worth the price in my opinion.

If I sell these Drives, should I buy 2 WD Red HDD? I hear they are very good.

red HDD's are designed for NAS devices so i don't really recommend them, they will probably be fine but it's just... That's not what their meant for, and they can maybe act weird? Just get a seagate barracuda, they are very good for just daily use or a WD blue.

Why not get 3 of the first option? you'd have 3TB of storage and the benefits of raid.

Or you could get 2 of the first option, and get a third 2TB HDD and use all 3 in RAID 1+0
