Radiator fan screw size. Need 38mm. Halp?

Method

So I just bought the Cooler Master HAF Stacker. Included were some fan screws presumably to install 2 120mm fans in the front for intake, which work great. I have a Seidon 120M mounted in the top "half". There's an included removable air filter, but sadly, both the screws that came with the CM Seidon 120M AND the Haf Stacker, dont fit. If I remove the air filter, they fit just find. Kind of, they barely fit.

Here's an image of the seidon screws and the stacker screws. The slightly longer one (the top one) is the Seidon screw. Click the image for a higher res pic. I measured em and they're 1.25 inches, or a bit over 31mm. I need a 38 mm screw to fit the fans with the air filter. Frozencpu.com doesn't seem to sell those. Any ideas? Id rather stay away from a hardware store since they often don't have all black screws, or the screw head is too small.

Try your local hardware store, Ace Hardware is where I get all manner of screws/nuts/bolts for PC stuff.

Ebay is your friend. Had a problem with using my alphacool rad screwed to my case but still wanting to use the rubber grommets. 5mm was to short so got some 8mm M3 bolts and M3 washers and it all fits perfectly.

i know alphacool sends 30mm and 35mm to counter issues of this nature.

38mm does sound enormous. 38mm would be specialized, so finding them

would be rare (check with Radio Control hobby), otherwise you'll have to

purchase 40mm and cut them down to proper sizing.

Checking some size comparisons, looks like I was excluding the head of the screw, while sizes on frozen cpu include them. I'm ganna give their 40mm a go. $2.50 cant go wrong, right?

Screws can be painted and I've found plenty that have large heads on them, the worst thing that can happen if you go is that you find out that they don't have what you need and that's better than not knowing if they have it or not.

It'd realistically be the same.
