Seems like that would do fine for your intended uses. It will play those games great as well. Did you intentionally not want a K CPU?

It is bb code I think, newegg because we were going to buy from there, the budget was 1000 but the so was 100 and the othe 50 I felt was nesasary but the h97 down grade will Chang that a bit.

Yea seams strange, I would go with a K CPU to ensure that you can easily overclock in the future.

Main Machine:  16 inch MacBook Pro (2021), Apple M1 Pro (10 CPU, 16 GPU Core), 512GB SDD, 16GB RAM

Gaming Machine:  Acer Nitro 5, Core i7 10750H, RTX 3060 (L) 6GB, 1TB SSD (Boot), 2TB SSD (Storage), 32GB DDR4 RAM

Other Tech: iPhone 15 Pro Max, Series 6 Apple Watch (LTE), AirPods Max, PS4, Nintendo Switch, PS3, Xbox 360

Network Gear:  TP Link Gigabit 24 Port Switch, TP-Link Deco M4 Mesh Wi-Fi, M1 MacMini File & Media Server with 8TB of RAID 1 Storage

Yes my first one was the i5 4690k but the extra fetures (like hyper treading) will be good for editing and things

Ah okay but as mentioned before getting an unlocked CPU would just give you future expand ability.

Go with a 4790K so you can overclock.

If not go with an H97 Board so you dont make me cringe by wasting the overclocking abilities of the board...

Just remember: Random people on the internet ALWAYS know more than professionals, when someone's lying, AND can predict the future.

i7 9700K (5.2Ghz @1.2V); MSI Z390 Gaming Edge AC; Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16GB 3200 CAS 16; H100i RGB Platinum; Samsung 970 Evo 1TB; Samsung 850 Evo 500GB; WD Black 3 TB; Phanteks 350x; Corsair RM19750w.

Laptop: Dell XPS 15 4K 9750H GTX 1650 16GB Ram 256GB SSD
