CPU Air or Water cooling? Performance is the main aspect

bughtoo

Hello,

I had Cooler Master 120M Seidon but after one day of being on it started to do a unbearable clicking noise, made some research and found thats its made by faulty bearings in the pump, so I asked for a refund and now i am looking for a CPU Cooler.

My build is

ASUS Maximus VII Hero

i7 4790K

GEIL Red 2x8GB 2133MHz

2-way AMD Radeon R9 290x CF

Kingston SSDNOW 250GB

2TB Seagate Barracuda

Cooler Master HAF-X 942

EVGA Supernova 1000W 80+ Platinum

Budget is 120€ and the best thing would be if the cooler had Red/Black theme, but its not required.

What do you think guys? Tell me everything thats on your mind

Thanks in advance!!!

A corsair H105, quiet and better than a H100i because its a thicker version of it. Has interchangeable rings for your red/black theme.

Watercooling for pure performance and air for performance for the price.

If you wanna do watercooling then go for a 240mm Cooler because theres a lot of aircoolers that perform just as well as 120mm AIO and dont have the pump noise

I was thinking Cooler Master V8 GTS. Since its very nice design, quiet, and matches the red/black theme, also enough room for high RAM. Benchmarks look quite nice, or not?
