Windows Remote Desktop viable from gaming desktop to cheap laptop

Hey, just wondering if I could build a gaming desktop and use windows remote viewer for a cheap laptop? I wouldn't be doing games like cod due to the inevitable lag but things like minecraft or photoshop and ~75 chrome tabs? I've gotta go to school but thanks in advance.

Yes you can although for gaming you should just use steam in home streaming, for programs there may be some lag but it shouldn't matter to much as long as your home network is decent.
