Noctua Fans question

ZeferiniX

Can anyone explain to me these noctua naming conventions. I'm really confused with their naming which one is for Airflow and which one is for Static Pressure.

Can you also suggest the most quiet and highest performance in Noctua?

I'm getting the NZXT H440 case and I want:

3 x 120mm fans intake(front)

1 x 140mm fans exhaust(rear)

2 x 140mm fans exhaust(top) for the NZXT Kraken X61

I'm confused which noctua fans to get for front intake(static pressure), rear exhaust(airflow), and top exhaust(static pressure).

Don't mind the price. You can suggest those newer industrial fans if it's the best for performance/loudness.

Sorry for this dumb question but I've been using corsair fans for quite a while and I wanted to give these noctua fans a try because I find these corsair fans too loud. Just having problems with these noctua naming conventions and which one to get  :( My google skills is failing me  :(

As fair as i know the f series are for static presure and the a series for airflow

you don't need static pressure as case fans they are used for rads and cpu coolers for good airflow the nf-a14 and 15 are perfect

i would go with NF-A14 PWM as case fans very quiet and good performance also i would use the rear fans for intake because the hot air is going up so there's nothing for them to take out least as intake it can blow cold air on the gpu

Beware of him that is slow to anger; for when it is long coming, it is the stronger when it comes, and the longer kept. Abused patience turns to fury.

I think I'd need a static pressure fans for intake in the NZXT H440 case, that dampening foam + small vent is something I'd worry.

  • NF-F = Focused Flow
  • NF-A = Air Flow (Case fan)
  • NF-S = Silence (Aimed at nothing but silence)
  • NF-P = Pressure
  • NF-R = Raised blade
  • NF-B = Beveled blade

Not sure what to say but if you really want NF-F12 PWM will fit just fine

Thanks for the info, that's more clearer now.

I guess I'll take 3 NF-F12 front intake and 3 NF-A14 for rear(will decide when I get the fans whether this will be intake or exhaust) and top(exhaust for 280mm rad). Thanks!
