Yes, a paintbrush is fine as long as it's not covered in paint.

Unscrewing it is fine. Up to you how you want to clean the fan. I personally just wipe it and use dust filters to not have much of a mess to deal with later in the first place.

You don't need to replace the thermal paste as long as you don't tamper with it other than from removing the cooler.

Ear cleaners are fine. It's fine to unscrew graphics cards to clean them. You should remove power from the system before cleaning though.

This question may be really dumb and I may get destroyed in the comments if anyone answers this but. I want to REALLY dust my computer well and have it run like new again so my question was in the video where linus showed you how to clean a PC the rugged manly way..... Is it really ok to take a paint brush to the top of your graphics card? as well as one other question about cleaning a PC. I just have a normal intel stock fan and was wondering should I just unscrew it and really get the dust off of it or just normally spray it because correct me if I am wrong when I take it off wont I have to re reply the thermal paste on it and will my computer have to find it and everything again? and one more thing is it ok take like a ear cleaner and make sure you get the dust off your extra fans. AND one last thing. Should I unscrew my graphics card and clean it really well and if I do un screw it will I have to re install anything or will windows have to find my graphics card again and all that stuff. OR as long as I keep my GPU and the fan connected to the power supple will everything be fine? and this my rig http://i.gyazo.com/34a6ab21905bdc1138812b01f9140cf8.png should I be able to unscrew everything and clean it efficiently without unplugging it from my PSU and if I do unscrew it will I have to reinstall anything will it just continue like before? please answer and sorry for this all grammar

Does not look bad. Canned air should do you the most good for cleaning.

You can buy compressed air or nitrogen canisters. Get some gloves so your hands don't get stuck to the can, but you can take the parts out like the cpu heat sink and spray the dust off no problem.

welcome to the forum ^_^

1) sure, is fine

2) i think you can take the GPU out, clean it, and put it back without install any drivers

3) i think you don't need reinstall the drivers if you disconnect all components from the PSU

times like this are a great opportunity to put new thermal paste on the CPU also  ;)

Where can you get nitrogen?
