According to Wind Mobile, Google/LG have ceased Nexus 5 production

The Nexus 5 has been around for quite some time now - 11 months to be exact. A refresh is soon to be released, but when? I think we just got the answer to that.

In a Twitter conversation between user Hardwired_Brain and Wind Mobile (WIND_Cares), Hardwired_Brain queried why the Nexus 5 wasn't listed under the devices page anymore, and Wind Mobile replied not long after saying "My apologies, we are no longer carrying the device." If you look on either user's Twitter account, the tweets are gone - more than likely Google requested them to be removed, or Wind removed them.

With that Twitter response and the tweets now being gone, I think it's safe to say that the Nexus 5 is dead (production wise) and that the "Nexus 6" will be revealed soon. So if you're planning on getting a new smartphone, wait.

Incoming nexus? ;)

I honestly think they should have kept making the Nexus 5. They can sell it along side the next phone as a cheaper alternative

They might be making a cheaper version Nexus alongside a regular one.

I like how their Twitter tag is Wind cares... probably because their service is somewhat sketchy.

You can't have a phone cheaper than $350. Google is still subsidizing it

If they drop Nexus prices again like they did last round, I might consider dropping my phone for one. If they do lol.

if you have to insist you think for yourself, i'm not going to believe you.

Definitely keeping an eye out for this. I'll likely get either this or the Note 4. The problem is that I really like the S-Pen... I guess that Band 12 on T-Mobile will be a big factor too, which this may not have. It also might lack Wi-Fi calling. :/
