asus gtx 780 for 400 now or wait for the 900 series ?

I found a deal for an Asus 780 OC 3GB for $400. Do you think the deal is good enough or should I wait for the 900 series ? I'm putting together a system ATM and only need a mini itx motherboard and GPU.

I would just pick it up personally, 900 series is not going to be a monumental improvement if we can judge on the leaks we have seen so far (whether they are 100% legitimate or not.)

i'm against waiting as there will always be something new around the corner but at this point in time seeing the new gpu's will hit the market very soon i'd suggest to wait to see if the price of the current line of GPU's will be reduced...i bet you will have a nice deal i would suggest looking for an R9 290 i bet if you could wait 2 weeks after the new gpus will be launched AMD will do a price cut.

Well if the specs are true if your gaming at 1080p i would get a 980/970 if they are at a good price

Anything above 1080p i would get a 780/ti or an r9 290/x cause of the vram and larger memory bus.

EDIT: Most likely when the 900 series comes out the 780 will drop in price.

Nvidia is to Dr Dre Beets as AMD is to KFC.

One makes you broke, the other you can get more of and have a midnight snack from the fridge when hungry again. Once you go Nvidia, you go broked, turn into an Elitist, or get the incorrect amount of VRAM.

not a bad deal but i paid 350$ for mine about 5 months ago...in canada on top of that :P
