Asus PA248Q - USB Upstream

Go to solution Solved by TriBeard,

I'm literally confused then. lol

On the left side of the monitor there are 4 USB 3.0 ports. These are the downstream ports, aka the ones you plug your flash drive or whatever into. There is one USB in port on the bottom of the monitor that looks kinda like the one on the back of a printer. This is where the USB cable goes that plugs in to the computer so that those ports function.

What does the usb upstream do for me on a monitor?

Do you mean the USB plug? The monitor has a USB 3.0 hub built in to it.

Okay so it's there to daisy chain the monitors together then?

Okay thank you. So that's how you would daisy chain them together.

No. This monitor does not support daisy chaining (where you plug the display port connector in to the monitor, and then there is a hook up for another display port cable to run to a second monitor.)
