Dishonored and Borderlands 2 75% Off and Free Weekend on Steam!

Askew

2 great games playable this weekend for free + 75% off deals!

Borderlands 2

Dishonored

Bonus deal, Metro: Last Light Complete Edition is also 75% off, but no free weekend.

If you've not played Dishonored yet, go do it immediately because it's a great of example of how slick a PC game can feel and you've now got the opportunity to play it for free.

Last Light is one of if not the best immersive single player games I've ever played and I highly recommend it.

Borderlands 2 isn't to my taste but it's a very popular game so if that's your thing go lobby up with the many people that are going to be playing and have some co-op FPS fun!

I think it is a rediculously over rated game. The gameplay is good, it's long enough. Has more replay value than your average mostly linear game do to being able to have many different play styles. However my biggest gripe is the story and voice acting. It's so abysmal that I felt in no way compelled to care what the goals of the main character was or the people around him. Basically I just went around murdering everyone because I don't see a point not doing so. You apparently have more rats and plagued people the more people you end up killing. But everyone deserved to die anyway.

What's Borderlands 2 like? Is it worth buying?

Borderlands 2 is a singleplayer/co-op game that has a great storyline that you can play through a few times. It has a great weapon-drop system, where weapons are randomized, meaning not every pistol with the same name can have the same stats. However, duplicate items can be found, simply because they are not the "rare" items. The game has vehicle combat and an open world, where you can roam. There is a main storylline and then there are LOTS of side-quests, which give you weapon rewards and are fun to do. There boss fights and regular fighting. They have every type of weapon...shotgun, sniper, pistol, rpgs, you name it. Throughout the map, they will have ammo, health, and gunshops, where you can spend money you earn from looting, killing, and from quests. There are fast travel stations, which are teleporters to other places. The game is an RPG FPS game where you level up and gain experience. Weapons have lvl's on them too, so if you do not meet the level requirement you can't use it. You get loot from killing and quests. The gameplay is great and I've done the 3 playthroughs with my brother. Basically if you buy the game and like it, you won't be let down by how long the game lasts.
