$1500 Gaming PC build (first build)

Hey guys,

I am new to this community and after watching Linus's recent build guide, I decided to make this post and ask for your guys opinion since Linus said I can get a lot of help here. I am pretty new to computer components but I really want to build my very first computer after watching Linus's videos and inspiring me to build one and have a real pc instead playing on a laptop. So i'm asking for your opinion,

Budget: Around $1000 - $1500. I live in Canada and i'm planning to build my pc around December.

Parts: Picked my parts on pcpartpicker and this is what I got: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/kVrdrH

I didn't know what motherboard I should pick so I just picked whatever I thought it was good and also, I need a new keyboard. I'm thinking of the new Corsair K70 RGB mechanical keyboard.

Theme: I'm trying to implement a blue, white and black colour theme like what Linus did with the green and black in the new recent build guide.

If there's things you guys think I should change or add, i'm fine with it as long as the colour theme is the same and I may use a dual monitor setup.

Thanks, and I would like to here your opinion!

That is pretty good. If you are not a memory hog you could save a bit and buy 8 gigs of ram and spend more on something else, like the gpu.

You should definitely get an SSD, the Crucial MX100, Kingston V300 or the Samsung 840 Evo are all really good, cheap SSD's. Also you should get a slightly bigger power supply maybe a 650w, just so you have a bit more headroom especially if you want to overclock.

With games now requiring 3gb of video memory I would save on the RAM (get 8gb) and try and get a GTX 780.

And no SSD? Even if you get the cheapest SSD you can find, just for an OS drive; you will notice a massive improvement.
