SanDisk ReadyCache SSD...?

nasxnas

Hi guys! I'm fairly new into the hardware of computers, and Linus says in many videos that this is a friendly community, so I decided to start here. I just bought a SanDisk ReadyCache 32gb SSD because it was very cheap for my upcoming first build, for which I will be purchasing the rest of the parts this Friday. I just thought about the fact that this is a caching SSD, so it writes the most commonly used programs to it automatically. I was planning on using this fro my boot drive, and have no idea if I could install my Win8 to it. If anybody can tell me if this would still work, I would much appreciate it. I would also like to know if I could maybe wipe the software or whatever makes this SSD cache things by itself. Thanks!

It would work but just use it as a cache, 32GB is just too small for an OS like windows., 64GB is Minimum I think.

Thanks for the quick replies. Annoys me that I kind of just wasted some money but whatever. I'll just run my laptop hard drive that has win7 until I can buy another SSD. Again, thanks for the help.

32GB is enough to install Windows.

the ReadyCache is made to compliment the HDD like the WD Blue

it not made to install OS into the drive

think of it as a Hybrid Drive
