Worried about a build for a friend.

Brawly

Okay so my friend comes over a few days ago, plays on my new build, and decides he too wants to build a new computer. He's a console gamer, but he also plays CS:GO, DayZ, TF2 and other games on his (pretty shitty) PC at times. I'm trying pretty hard to keep the cost of everything down, because I just don't want him to spend an arm and a leg for the thing. I'm building it for him but I'm not charging him or anything like that. He wants a green and black theme, which is why I went with the Sniper B5 and the green LP Vengeance RAM, and this is also why I can't go AMD as badly as I want to here. I tried convincing him to go with AMD to save money and get pretty good performance compared to what I have chosen now, a core i3, but he's sold on the green motherboard. Anything I can do to boost the performance of the build without raising the price too much higher, or should I keep trying to convince him to go AMD and get an all black motherboard?

PS, that H440 will be the Microcenter exclusive one if they're still in stock.
