I was looking at some Audio technica models, but I'm not too sure, could you help me out?

For gaming, open headphones like the 558 are better unless you really need that isolation of closed design. M50x really is not good value, but M40x would be much better. The ATH-M series is known for its narrow soundstage, meaning they are not the best for gaming if you want good positional accuracy. The ATH-500x/700x/900x are usually better at that.
