Going by what I found on google. Find the DayZ.cfg in /MyDocuments/dayz

Rename it DayZ.cfg.old to force the game to remake the file.

If that does not work try opening the new file and look for a line to deal with fullscreen or windowed. It probably has a = then a number 1 or 0. Delete the number and put the other. Save the file and restart the game. Should start in windowed mode, go into the graphics options and set your resolution and reable fullscreen.

Did dayz ever work for you at some point then stop. Or did it never work?

When you renamed the cfg file, did a new one get made?

Also make sure you get rid of any launch commands you made, when try a fresh cfg file.

Can you post the contents of the cfg file using the "code" markup here on the forum or http://pastebin.com/
