Build $500 pc?

Hello I would like to build a $500 pc with windows 8.1 in the budget. I want this computer to have a better processor than gpu. Thank you. Also all parts must be from microcenter.

Also I want a ducky shine 3 keyboard and some mouse in the price as well.

purpose for the computer?

A mech keyboard at a $500 total budget is going to yield a trash computer.....unless of course you like Celerons (cringe).

Why do you need better CPU than GPU? Will you play games or will integrated GPU be enough?

So if you take away the ducky shine 3, a mouse and windows 8.1 from the 500$ you have a budget about 250 - 300$ for the computer. You do realise that you won't get anywhere with that?

Yeah so that means you only have a budget of 400$.. and you want to play games at 1080p....

Do you need anything else? Monitor? etc etc

we need all the details, just realise that at 400$ for a PC it will be pretty low end and will only really be good for 720p, or 1080p low

Although getting 1080p playable will be tough. There's no reason to get a sucky keyboard on such a right budget. Corsair and cooler master both make excellent options for around $100, and Roswell and thermaltke can be had for even less.

My dad doesn't need a monitor he has one and actually he has a g502 mouse. Remember this is for my dad I know its low end but he doesent want to spend over $4000 like me. So please list all the parts and I will close this. Thank you

Plan at least 400$ for the pc alone (means OS and peripherals NOT included). With that you will be able to play 1080p on low - medium settings. Anything under that you can say goodbye to 1080p. And that 400$ build would be crap.

You're not going to get much power out of a $500 pc, I'd suggest saving up a bit more and spending 700-800ish.

From the builds a few people have posted it does not look like you will be able to get the " ducky shine 3 keyboard and some mouse in the price as well."

I would say it can play most games in medium detail, 1080p and 30 to 60 fps, it should handle normal web browsing, basic photo editing and video playback just fine!

You download the ISO for windows 8, transfer it to a usb stick and boot from the usb stick from there it installs just like a normal disc version

Well it would certainly be a better pc without it :P the pc I did was low end at best not helped by the $130 keyboard ><

how exactly does one spend $4k on a gaming computer and not know this stuff...

IT will run poorly, but playable at 1080p and well at 720p.
