I can only see the exacerbated black bars in movies

 

 

not a fan of the 8ms response time

 

decent monitor though

response time is just a load of bull s*** 7 ms is just fine and the bezels on my hp monitors is less than 1 cm except the bottom

Newegg also specs out the vertical refresh @ 60Hz and the Horizontal refresh at 80 Hz. Does this mean that games would be capped at a 60 fps output? Ive never seen Horizontal refresh's specd out before. Anyone know if that number is important at all? and what for?

For similar money I would go with the Dell P2414h

 

Still 24" IPS, has USB hub, and a nicer stand. Plus I trust Dell monitors more than HP. YMMV
