From 4G 1600 MHz DDR3 to 8G 1333 MHz DDR3

Hello, I recently wanted to replace my laptop's 4G DDR3 1600MHz RAM with (what I expected to be) 8G of DDR3 1600MHz RAM.

Appareantly the guys from my computerstore handed me 8GB of 1333MHz DDR3 RAM. I only noticed it when I replaced it and booted up my laptop since there was no info on the packaging about the frequency.

Everything runs fine though, but I am wondering if it is worth replacing it with 1600MHz RAM. Also, is it harmful to put 1333MHz in a laptop wich was originally designed for a 1600 MHz RAM stick?

Thank you in advance.

Well 1333 Mhz isn't that bad, especially on a laptop. However, it you see that you payed for a 1600Mhz then you might wanna talk to the guys at the shop about it.

for heavily intense productivity apps, it'd matter, but overall "computational" speed

would be hardly noticeable. if you paid for 1600, then you should get 1600 RAM.

Allright, thanks guys. And I did pay less in fact. That was why I asked 'Is this this 1600MHz, because I looked up prices and they were above €100". And he ssaid is was 1600 MHz. Anyhow, Thanks for the quick response!
