This is what I came up with. A overclockable quad core with a 212 evo for better cpu performance. 8gb ram for gaming sweet spot. 280x I think the best price/performance gpu out there and it can max out bf4 and crisis 3. 200r it is cheap and good, what more can you ask for. 500 watt psu. Some upgrade options for the future. Mx blue mech kb and laser mouse, hard to go wrong. 120gb ssd + 1tb hdd for mass storage, fast boot times and system performance.

Case gets replaced by the corsair 760t black version. Also I don't know if OS is required, if not then it can be adjusted for better peripherals.

Some people will like it, some people will think it ruins the idea of a stealth build since it draws attention. It's their vote. (I definitely would not put any color besides white though).

USB 2.0 on the case ports to get rid of the blue of USB 3.0. Illumination on the mouse turned off. SSD only system - back to the days when 250GB was a ton of storage. The SSD mounts flat on the side of the drive bay. SATA data cable is black. Couldn't spend 8 more cents.

You won't be disqualified or anything like that. You can always add aftermarket fans to your part list as well.

It's all black, quiet, and I initially put this together around the keyboard because I thought it fit this challenge perfectly. The NoiseBlocker fans are to replace the white fans that come with the Define R4 and I chose the non-windowed version of that case because I think windows kind of...give away...the whole idea of a stealth build, and the R4 is pretty quiet with all the damping material in the case. The EVGA 760 is great, it fits the color scheme and provides good bang for buck, as does the FX-6300. I opted for the AIO H60 because it is black, uncluttered, and provides decent performance.

I am not too set on the mouse, but I wanted good quality and don't know too much about other mice manufacturers. It fits the color scheme save for the green branding accents, but if the machine is on you hand will likely cover these and if the machine is off I think they won't be illuminated.

Oh, and I hope I made the time, was unsure of timezone...regardless this was a fun little challenge.

You asked for black, so here it is!

CPU:  AMD FX-8320 3.5GHz 8-Core Processor  ($134.99 @ Amazon)
Motherboard:  ASRock 990FX Extreme3 ATX AM3+/AM3 Motherboard  ($109.99 @ Newegg)

Keyboard:  Thermaltake eSPORTS Meka Wired Gaming Keyboard  ($59.99 @ Mechanical Keyboards)
Mouse:  Microsoft SideWinder X5 Wired Laser Mouse  ($17.98 @ Mac Mall)
Total: $999.88
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)
(Generated by PCPartPicker 2014-01-21 00:51 EST-0500)

Ideas:
-All Black, literally.
-SSD Only performance, because who wants to see a silver hard drive in a stealth black build
-PSU has all black cables and is 80 plus gold
-black mechanical keyboard with cherry mx BLACK switches
-asrock mobo with all black color scheme
-well performing cpu cooler coated black
-all  black ram
-windforce 770 for silent, stealthy performance in a black fan enclosure
-all black 200r
-sidewinder mouse with an all black paint job

oh bummer, dat case

Id vote for you if you choose different case. That side panel need some dremel beauty work, and acrylic red, smoked or clear panel. Red is "stealth" color, so if someone want to use it as light or panel, you can have that reason :D

My build have white ( or blue, i am not 100% sure cant find on amazon) LED 140mm fan on top that change brightness while on load.

you cannot vote for yourselves. Your votes do not count if it is for your own build. Simply do not vote for anyone else if you want the best chance of winning.
