  1. Hello all, Been out of the game a while but it's time. 1. Budget & Location $2000 USD. Local to a Microcenter store - Denver, CO. 2. Aim Light video editing and 3d rendering and gaming. For games I'll be looking to play current AAA titles and MSFS24 3. Monitors Currently 6 monitors at 1080p, eventual upgrade path is probably moving to 1440p. Requirement to run 3 from primary graphics card for surround use, 1-3 of the others can be run from integrated graphics if equipped or I'll keep using my old 1050Ti to drive the remainder. 4. Peripherals No peripherals for now. Will need Windows 11 pro OEM. 5. Why are you upgrading? Long overdue for a new system. Currently running an I7 4790k and a GTX1070 5. Misc. Ram - 64gb, ideally 2x32. Storage - 1-2TB M.2 SSD and probably a 6TB HDD. Ideally 2 for a raid 1 but not a requirement. CPU - Historically I've been a diehard Intel user but I'm not as familiar with the current market so open to AMD or Intel options. GPU - Would like to stick with Nvidia, probably the GTX5070 but open to other recommendations. Preference is for air cooling CPU over AIO options. ATX motherboard preferred. Not opposed to RGB fans/case/lighting but definitely not a requirement.
  2. Standard operation. They have 250 of these USB SSD's in circulation for a data collection operation.
  3. Yeah, looking to keep transfer bandwidth high. They'll have a poor intern who's only job it is to take the drives and connect them and transfer data, but I guess they'll just need to use 3 workstations to do that. Thankfully the office is already setup for 10gb
  4. That is the backup plan if I can't get it all on one system is 2 or 3 systems with 7 port PCIE cards in 6-7 slots.
  5. They do large scale data collection, recorded to USB C external SSD's, so unfortunately that isn't practical and we are limited to USB for connectivity.
  6. Not video, it's all data. Just dumping from SSD to local storage so they can use it. One or two people using 1-3 devices and all they do is connect SSD and start the transfer.
  7. I have a client that has asked me to look in to the possibility of a server or two that are able to ingest large amounts of data from USB C external SSD's to local storage and then to offsite storage. The user requests 100 USB 3.0 ports for the drives. I've looked a bit, but haven't yet found a good way to do this. Any ideas for 100 USB ports on a single server?
  8. Got to 54% and then a BSOD. whea-uncorrectable-error
  9. Will do. That usually takes a while so I'll get er done and report back.
  10. Trying to avoid that if possible. Disk usage now down to normal, computer still very sluggish.
  11. @kelvinhall05 @Enderman Update. Disk usage back to normal, computer still extremely slow.
  12. Yes. Main drive is a 500gb samsung evo, also have 2x 2b seagate storage drives. Currently running 1607 I think.
  13. The files are easy but I have many programs that I no longer have the CDs and Licence keys to. Those programs are important and as of now I have no way to reinstall them.
  14. Windows install is only a few months old. Have not upgraded or cloned it. Only very recently have I had the BSOD issues, 3-4 times now. Always that same error.
