Monitor-to-monitor vesa "piggyback" mount?

Compassionate Homicide

Anybody know if there's a such thing as a monitor VESA "piggyback" mount? Meaning, it mounts to the VESA mount of one monitor, to mount a smaller monitor over top. Does that make sense?

Would like to mount an 8in LCD above a 22in display, The 22 uses what I think is a VESA-100, while the smaller uses a VESA-75.

Thanks!

Haven't seen one myself, but for a little 8" acrylic might do to make a custom one.

And it's easy to bend.

Got the monitor today, it's quite beefy for it's size. After looking into desk "clamp mounts", it would cost equal to do it with acrylic, if not more (not including time to make it).

Was hoping there might be something = or < $25 to suit the the need.

It is a nice little monitor though!

I'd try using some steel sheets from lowes or home depot depending on how heavy the lil monitor is. 4"x12" pieces are only about $10

I had thought about that. But after some thinking... my primary monitor sits lower than the secondary (it's on an elevated shelf which is integral part of my desk) ...and happens to be the one that this smaller third monitor would mount to. From a healthy "spinal" perspective, this would just be a bad idea and my neck would hate me. So a clamp type mount behind my primary is what I need.

I didn't realize my primary which is a better, and newer, monitor, doesn't have VESA mounting (thanks Dell for your proprietary hardware, once again).

I had that problem with a Dell monitor. One of my side monitors died and my wife had a spare she never used, but she buys cheap monitors and doesn't think about stuff like mounting so it didn't have a vesa mount. I searched online for the model and vesa, and found a custom site that makes adapters for various monitors. Wasn't cheap, but I had to have it to mount to my monitor arm. It was like $20-30.

Thanks! Ill keep that in mind should I choose to mount this Dell before it dies. I think I found a small desk clamp arm for the little 8in that should be just tall enough to clear the top of the Dell. If not, dual mount it is!
