Ryzen 7 1700 not posting

Guest

I recently migrated to Ryzen so I've kept all the same parts as my previous build except for my motherboard and CPU, the Fans spin up stay spinning and the LED's on the motherboard say CPU not detected, The build consists of

Ryzen 7 1700

MSI Krait B350

1080ti

2x 1TB WD Black (spanned volume)

2x8GB Corsair vengeance 2400Mhz (tested with SK Hynix memory as well)

EVGA 750 G3

Having the same issue except I’m intel. No help. Have you updated the bios?

Just bought the board new from Amazon so I can't update the bios however Version 1.0 has support for the Ryzen 7 1700

Have you tried to boot with the Spanned volume installed? I'm assuming it's raid0 or similar?

I assume you have tried getting to BIOS with no drives installed?

A new bios wont recognise  another's raid array as a detectable drive.

If there was no CPU detected the system wouldn't even power on.

CPU - Ryzen 7 5800x3D |  GPU - RTX 3080 TUF OC | Motherboard - ASUS TUF X570 | RAM - Patriot Viper Blackout 32GB 3200MHz | Case - InWin 805 | Boot Drive - Corsair MP600 PCIe 4.0  Storage - 2 x 1TB SSD's & 1 500GB SSD | PSU - Seasonic Focus Gold 1000w | Display - ASUS TUF VG27WQ Curved 1440P 165Hz | Cooling - ASUS TUF LC240 AIO + 5 aRGB Fans

Turns out the Store I bought the cpu from (I bought the CPU used) CeX UK don't have Motherboards other than Z170 and Z370 to test CPUs so they just do a visual examination before they buy it. So I'm pretty certain someone got £150 for a dead CPU
