So,

Whenever I record with dxtory with any codec or settings (I've tried everything) and I render it out it looks great: http://gyazo.com/3bbb41c7f66fc1074680c5c87f63b839

When I upload it on youtube it looks awful: http://gyazo.com/773c9f9177492226a55ab0880313b368

I know I can fix this because I have seen some videos not have this, I don't know what to do ;( please help me if you can.

Here are my render settings: http://gyazo.com/d57873ead90185ba68323d784db5614c

Thanks,

Ginger

Not much you can do. That's youtube compression for you. From my experience from uploading, all only the video that has enough views look better. But if it's just a few views, it looks prety shit...

I've seen so many people use the same settings and better quality.

Download your video from keepvid.com and play it back on your computer. If it's looks better than that screenshot then it's youtube's playback issues.

Render it slightly above 1080p so it creates an original option when you upload it. YouTube allows for a higher bitrate above 1080 and wont degrade the quality as much. I know that's what Jackfrags does for his vids.

@thegingertator, I know this sounds rather obvious, have you changed the YouTube player playback settings to HD 1080P?

It's gamble, sometimes you get really nice quality, mostly not.

I once got really nice quality 1080p Crysis 2 video uploaded, but now youtube has deleted the 1080p version lol...

I tried 720, 1080, and 1440 on it. They all had the problem unfortunately.

Hmm...don't know what to tell ya.

BTW, what is DXTory?
