Anything wrong with this memory kit?

https://www.amazon.ca/Ballistix-Sport-PC4-24000-288-Pin-Memory/dp/B07HP87R9J/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1542986193&sr=1-1&keywords=Ballistix+Sport&refinements=p_n_feature_five_browse-bin%3A7328155011

Seems like a good deal right now, i plan to upgrade from DDR3/Z87/4770K to DDR4/X470/Ryzen 2 when ryzen 2 comes out but i think i'll order this ram kit right away while it's that cheap?

What you guys think? will this work well with Ryzen 2? Ryzen 2 will use DDR4 RAM right?!

It looks alright to me, as long as you reach 2933mhz on the memory you're already eliminating most of the bottleneck caused by infinity fabric, extras are nice but not as essential... I'd imagine a 3000mhz rated kit can do the job just fine.

Crucial has always seem very affordable, some people dislike it because it's Micron but my troubleshooting spare memory is a 8gb Crucial Ballistix stick also and it works like any other memory I owned.

The reason that I would recommend those would actually be that they are micron. it's just as princess cadence said a prettly low speed for ryzen

3000mhz is considered low?

Maybe i can clock them a bit faster, loosing timings etc...

It's just a really good deal...

So micron is good or bad for Ryzen? also it's single rank memory is that better or worse?

my bad. I thought it was 2400. for that single rank, read this. micron is okay for ryzen and intel as far as I know

alright so nothing wrong with that kit from what i can tell...i'll think i'll order it because it's very cheap for a 16gb kit at these specs...it'll be the first time i actually buy RAM before i even selected a motherboard and CPU to go with it lol ?

I've heard good think about Ryzen 2 i think it'll be an appreciable bump over Ryzen + do you recon it's worth the wait?

it's on half the node, 7nm. it can be big. but I don't keep up with the rumors. I would personally wait for it if you can

Uses Hynix entry level dies, the 3000mhz frequency is only achieved with 16-18-18-38 timings with non-existing overclock potential on the frequency without raising the timings.

It certainly isn't a high end product but that doesn't mean it can't work fine enough if the discount is so good to justify it.

I saw these on pcpartpicker, they aren't that much more expensive and look really good

and these are higher quality if you like rgb ram
