DVI to HDMI/DP adapter?

So my friend just bought an RTX 2070 without realizing it didn't have a DVI port, and his monitor only supports DVI (it's one of those 144hz screens from the era when HDMI was not yet fast enough)

 

Are there any adapters that can do 1080p144? All I can find support 1080p60

Ryzen 2700, 16GB, GTX 1080, 1440p165hz

Star tech dvi2dp powered adapter. 

 

Does 120hz just fine, as that’s the max for my monitors.
