Can I mix ram?

Can I mix different ram sticks together as long as they are the same ddr, capacity and speed right?

I don't see why not... ram is ram. Also I forgot to mention timing. Good thing @Speed Weed said that lol.

Sure you can.. you may run into issues but it should be ok..

Hell you used to be able to mix different speed ram as well and it would just run at the slowest speed.. not done it for many years tho was prob back in the days of original DDR I did it last..

Incompatible DDR type will physically not fit in the memory socket anyway.

About mixing sizes, it will definitely work, but the exact outcome depends on exact configuration according to Intel.

Mixing frequency and timing will cause the motherboard to default to the profile present on the SPD chip on the module. You can still overclock manually but with a higher likelihood of instability.
