Bad PC performances

Eric Jovi

Big question :

I have a pretty decent machine. I have recently acquired Destiny 2 and I am experiencing some "not so good fps" which ranges between 40 and 100. Here is what my PC is made of :

- CPU AMD FX-8350

- GPU : GTX1070

- RAM : 16GB DDR3

- MOBO : MSI 990FX

**All drivers are up to date.

While I play I can see that neither my CPU, GPU or RAM are maxed out. They all range around the 60% usage each.

With that said, I have no idea why I can't get better performances and I do believe that I should get better performances with that hardware.

Can someone help me? Thanks

The FX 8350 is an old CPU, heavily bottlenecking the 1070. You're going to need an upgrade.

Sell the CPU, board and ram and look for a 8th gen i5 8400. That should be a good pairing.

If you want to keep the ram, look for an i7 4770K/4790K and get a new board so you can reuse the ram, but still get good performance with the 1070.
