Also what HDMI cables support 144hz? thanks

I'm not sure any do.

And I think you'll see many say the ASUS Crosshair VII is the best X470 board you can buy.

best X470 board is really just the top model from each brand

like the Taichi Ultimate from asrock running a 6+2 with doublers making it 12+4 VRM. a pretty overkill VRM, but you are paying for it

^^^ The regular Tiachi has the same VRM IIRC, and then the ASUS Crosshair VII Hero (I have it) is also amazing, and both are incredibly overkill for any current AMD CPUs for AM4. I'm planning on upgrading to Zen 2 and such though, so I wanted overkill to make sure I don't need to upgrade mobos for a good long while.

Vrms deliver power to the cpu, they should be enough of them en they should be cooled well by for example a heatsink

Voltage Regulator Volume.

essentialy what is in charge (eh, unintended pun) of delivering power to the CPU at a set voltage.

during this process some heat is generated and therefore more modules (or better ones) are needed for high end overclocking. lower end VRM would overheat. like say a 4+2 phase without doublers cant do 1,4 volts on a 8 core CPU and only capable of 1,35 volts before overheating. a higher end 4+2 with doublers (or double componenets) will be able to do 1,4 volts no issue.

keep your mobo, you do not have a reason to upgrade.

edit: i believe its a fake 8 phase using a 4+2 controller without doubler using double components. (could be misstaken, im just beginning to look into VRMs)

its pretty decent VRM and you can do overclocking quite easily

its 4 phases for CPU core and 2 phases for Ram, PCIe controller etc.

yours is running 4 phases to the CPU which is using a fake 8 phase setup. Dont worry about being "fake". its still pretty good and you wont run into OC issues afaik.

yes. use OBS CPU encoding and get a better GPU if you are to upgrade anything.
