144hz monitor for ESport titles

Sa1tama

Hi! From 2017 till today i have played Cs:Go for 420hrs. I think i have gotten good, so i am trying to step up a bit and get a new 144hz monitor.

My specs are all fine:

  • GPU: EVGA GTX 1050 SC
  • CPU: i5 3570
  • Ram: HyperX DDR3 1x8gb 1866mhz

I get an average of 160fps at max settings and it never dips below 145fps so my rig won't be a limiting factor.

From a quick search on amazon i have found these 2 monitors:

  1. MSI Optix MAG24C
  2. MSI Optix MAG241C

Just by looking at the spec sheet they are quite similar. (Compare website: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/compare/MSI_OPTIX_MAG24C_vs_MSI_Optix_MAG241C/BHitems/1417341-REG_1429368-REG)

I can't decide between the two, the MAG24C has +300R curvature but has slightly lower brightness (-50 cd/m2)

I am open to any suggestions, but please keep in mind that i mainly play CS:GO and i have never had a look at a curved monitor in real life. I don't know how it feels.

Thanks in advance!

If you don't want to spend 20 dollars more for the BenQ XL2411, go for the Acer KG271, I wouldn't recommend buying a curved monitor for competitive gaming.
