60hz vs 144hz 1080p 1ms

richbutpoor

Hello Guys,

So I have been doing some research and what I have found is that a 60hz monitors is alright as long as you are playing at 60fps & 144hz is good when your rig is able to handle 144fps. With 1ms being just how long it takes your screen to change colour and has nothing to do with input lag. I would be gaming at 1080p. Any thoughts on this, please let me know, cheers.

Image sharpness at fast motion. Even if you're not reaching framerate at 144fps, the image is just so much sharper on 144Hz screens. Everything on screen just turns into mush when you move mouse around where on 144Hz it's always sharp. It does depend on other things like type of panel, but still.

Once you go 144Hz, even if only at 1080p, there is no way going back. Similar to how it's hard to go with any LCD once you use Philips Ambilight. It's just so good it's hard to use anything else.
