Hello people

I am looking into upgrading 2 of my old rigs to get them "up to date"

System 1:

i3-3xxx

GT330

4GB DDR1600MHz

Budget: 800$

System 2:

i7-950

GTX560

8GB 1600MHz

Budget 500$

Both systems is going to be gaming centric and general internet browsing Mainly BF4 on the gaming front (1920x1080), and nothing CPU intensive such as Videoediting.

PSU is 750W and 650W so shouldn't be a problem.

If Possible I would like to squeeze a 120GB SSD in each of them, and no need for High-end motherboard since Overclocking is limited to nothing over 4GHz( If any at all )

Hope to get some great feedback. and I am open to other changes :)

Mostly only going to Change CPU/GPU + SSD if possible

System 2 I would just be updating the GPU for now. 280X as suggested above is a good suggestion, any from the high mid tier on would work fine. 270X, 280X, 290 or 760, 770, 780, that will tie you over for a fair while longer. the i7-950 isn't bad... then you don't have to look at a complete system rebuild.

System 1 wont be getting upgraded, more likely replaced.

4670/K

any motherboard that fits, as been shown motherboards don't vary much if all performance wise. Just get one that suits your color scheme if you have one.

8gb ram

120gb SSD

whatever VGA card you can get for the money left over. Should still be something decent.

How about this.....Sell system one....migrate system two to system one.....tally monies of sale of system one with budgets for system one and two....then build a new killer system with monies collected. Or better yet....keep monies collected and add to it, what ever you can, and wait to see what new is coming out this year and if it is good build a system around it.

Sounds good....no....well it is what i would do. :P

A water-cooled mid-tier gaming PC.
