Old user files invisible

So I installed a new SSD today, disconnected the HDD while installing Win10 on it and all works fine, except for that one thing, the "user" folder on my previously primary HDD is empty, I cannot find any of my old documents, pictures or even the desktop folder. Can anyone help please? I was most cautious not to lose my data (since a lot of it was actually in folders on my desktop) and yet I managed to do it... Plz plz plz help!
