Can't get more from OC?

JustEbu

Hello Lovely LTT-Community! ❤️

I wanted to ask if i can get some better OC with my GPU maybe? Max Core-Clock is at 2139MHz with my OC. If i add a little bit to the Memory Clock or Core Clock it get's sady unstable.

I know every GPU is individually and some can get more out of it. Or maybe i am doing something wrong :/

GPU: Asus ROG Strix Geforce GTX1080-A8G Gaming (Max Temps with my OC are never above 60C Celsius)

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 1700X @4GHz

RAM: G.Skill 16GB 3200MHz CL14 Kit (2x8GB)

Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix X370-F Gaming

Well i would jack up the fan speed manually, something that i found from benchmarks is that when i had my core clock at 160 compared to 130 i noticed no difference and in some tests an improvement, i would first try to put your memory clock as high as you can then work on the core clock afterwards.

this is my oc for my 1080. For reference.

I already set the Fan-Curve for my liking and after hours of gaming it never goes above 60c Celsius.

I will definitely try your suggestion and will report later :)

Ive been in a metal shop my whole life so i guess i just dont hear the 100% fan speeds or it just doesnt matter to me, maybe i like the background noise.

I used unigine engine for my benchmarks aswell as superposition and lastly 3dmark to make sure all was well.

If ur voltage limited u can edit the curve to run at 1.093 constant as when u just move slider in afterburner it doesn’t just run at higher voltage,

if it’s power limit custom bios
