Setting up freenas

I have an ssd & 3 HDD's. I want to keep the ssd with Windows 10 and 1 HDD with my steam library on but would like to use the other 2 HDD as a nas, can I do this with 1 pc?

You can do this.you can use nfs protocol to do  this,it just like the windows share folder.you can upload or download files.And there are many open source projects on github,that can also help you. I'm sorry i have poor english.

This has nothing to do with FreeNAS. FreeNAS is a separate operating system that serves as a NAS. What you should do in your situation is create shares on your harddrives that other computers and devices can access.

 

If you want, you can even create a mirror of your two "NAS" disks through disk management in Windows. This only works if they're the same capacity.
