I dont really know where to put this, but when I was just browsing Newegg when I say a deal that was a prebuilt for 1300$ and I thought, wow. Prebuilts have come down in price a lot.

Then I thought eh, might as well try and build the same thing for less, but then when I put the closest parts I could find to what is in the Prebuilt, It came out to be 1400$... Crazy

Uh yeah you can get a New 1080 for under $500 in the US. Dunno why there is a $700 blower style card in that list lol. Also, a 212 is basically the same as the stock cooler lol so you can spend that money on 16GB of RAM, and throw that PSU in the trash

I'll just leave that there. $50 more but a good amount of upgrades (better board, RAM, PSU, SSD, GPU cooler). I even got the same case, though there are cheaper options.

Your GPU choice is hurting the cost of the build. 1080s don't core $700 in America, they should be around $500. Though I'd go with a 1070ti for around $430 and just overclock it anyway. Likewise with the Ryzen 2700 instead of 2700x.

Also replaced the Thermaltake Smart PSU with a much better quality PSU.

For $1200 you can get something that would be better than the prebuilt.

i mean. its not hard to get something better for less........

 

keep in mind prebuilds grab the cheapest they can in terms of PSU and Motherboard. its not like they are going to allow people to overclock it.
